Land 400 and 19 packages – RAAF Base, Edinburgh

Across both packages, Adbri Concrete was responsible for supplying 25,000 cubic meters of Futurecrete® lower carbon concrete for the construction of multiple elements on the base, including housing quarters, pavement, hangars, and hardstand parking areas.

Our expert technical team curated a variety of concrete mixes to suit the project’s different requirements, while effectively lowering embodied carbon.

The Futurecrete® mixes selected for the project utilised 30-40% slag as a supplementary cementitious material (SCM) to replace cement content to produce a lower carbon concrete, while maintaining various strength requirements, ranging from 32 to 50MPa for the different elements.

City of Port Adelaide Enfield with Recycled Aggregates

Adbri partnered with City of PAE Council to make their footpaths more sustainable, while simultaneously recycling materials and transforming them into new, low-carbon products.

These new sustainable footpaths feature Adbri’s Futurecrete® Ultra low carbon concrete. This concrete is made with EvoCemTM, Australia’s first Type GL cement resulting in even lower carbon concrete.

This specialty concrete mix was crafted using 50% recycled aggregates from a local material recovery facility in Dry Creek, supporting the local SA circular economy.

Hy-Tec can specifically design concrete solutions utilising a range of raw material combinations that are specially tailored to your project performance requirements.
