Sydney Multi Residential Project with Deicorp

Hy-Tec supported Sydney’s multi-residential sector through the supply of specialist concrete ranges.

The team from Hy-Tec worked with to supply a speciality designed mix for use in post tensioned elements. The team created a lower embodied carbon cement mix using EvoCem™ cement as a direct replacement to conventional Type GP cement. This bespoke mix met the performance requirements for the project, including early strength curing which is critical for post tensioned elements and structural integrity. EvoCem™ further reduces embodied carbon by a minimum of 8% compared to Type GP cement, as verified by our Cement EPD.

In a recent 1,200m3 pour using this bespoke mix, embodied carbon was reduced by over 43,000kg CO2e when compared to a conventional GP cement mix concrete, as verified through Adbri’s EPD calculator. We’re proud to support our customers with concrete from our state-of-the-art Rosehill plant, working with Glendenning and Mulgrave sites in Sydney.

Box Hill Basement

Hy-Tec’s Victorian concrete team recently supplied Ironside Constructions with over 600m3 of concrete for a new apartment complex in Box Hill, 14 kilometres east of Melbourne’s CBD.

To meet the needs of the customer and support the construction schedule, concrete was supplied out of our Mitcham and Hallam plants at a rate of 100m3 per hour. Two pumps were used to place the concrete which is being used to construct the basements and underground car park that will service future residents.
